Salutatorian Summer Caron

Hello, my name is Summer Caron and it is my privilege to welcome my fellow graduates, teachers, and guests. I would like to thank all of you on behalf of grad 2020 for contributing to our graduation. This is definitely not how all of us imagined this year’s graduation to be. However we are honored to have made it this far together.

Going to a school in a small town is what brought our graduation class together. We have been together since elementary school and watched each other grow. Thinking back to some of the things we have done, I am surprised we have made it in one piece. These memories will forever stay with us. If there is one thing that I have learned about life is that, it goes on. We will go our separate ways and think back to our conversations, laughs, and our dreams we shared. We have talked about this day our whole lives. No matter how many times we wanted to quit, we didn’t.

We did not give up on each other, but most importantly our teachers did not give up on us. They pushed us to succeed, and believed in us. No matter how annoyed they would get with us. For them we are very thankful. As we are for our parents. Waking us up everyday, listening to us complain, and pushing us past our limits that we didn’t even know existed. For putting up with our attitudes and loving us through it all. Mom and Dad we did it. Today is not the end, it is only the beginning. To my fellow graduates, I hope you find what you love to do because your job is a large part of your life. I wish you luck on your journey. I know you all will achieve great things. After every laugh, tears, or even fights we’ve had, it is safe to say that we are a family. Thank you.

Taylor Petit

Hi! My name is Taylor Petit. One thing I want for people to do throughout their last year of school, is to cherish every moment you have. I’m extremely thankful to have had the amazing support system in my school, whether it was with my friends or the staff. I miss the times in class where my classmates and I would share moments of joy and laughter. Thinking back to then, I wish I would have enjoyed those times more than I did. I’m so thankful to have been surrounded by my classmates (who are more like family) in such an incredible positive environment. I want to thank all of the teachers and E.A’s, you all have helped me learn and grow as an individual. Thank you!

Mercedes Sewap

Hello! My name is Mercedes Sewap. I would like to thank my family, friends, teachers, and every single person who helped me on this journey towards graduation. Although I am happy to finally have graduated I am also scared but excited for what comes next. I know I will have the same support I did in high school and for that, I am thankful. I am very proud of myself for finishing school and continuing to go to school afterwards no matter how many times I felt like giving up. I appreciate everyone who pushed me to be or do better in my schoolwork and everything I did. I could not have done it without you.

Laila Valila

Hello! My name is Laila Valila, and I am part of the 2020 class. I hope the best for the school, and the teachers who got me through the year. I would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Kostyniuk, who taught me the importance of virtue and gave me courage. Her patience and passion for helping students got me through many obstacles through these past few months, and I will never forget her as I move on through university.
